Fabelös! - en barnmusikproduktion
Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Department of Music and Media Production.
2021 (Swedish)Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (Two Years)), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis [Artistic work]
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This project explores creativity through music production, and specifically through producing music for children whilst combining it with animations. It springs from an interest in how to help telling a story using different musical tools, and from an experience that a lot of the existing material of the sort is ”plastic” and ”over-produced”. The work has resulted in five songs in Swedish with preschool-aged children as target group. A part of the project has involved a collaboration with animators who created animated music videos for two of the songs so far. The theme of the texts is fables and a big part of the inspiration comes from the 70s children’s record Djurens brevlåda by James & Karin.
