The second album release from Egotrippers (SWE) is titled Work of Fiction, and the introductory song bears the same name. The name neatly sums the ethos of the band: this is all invented, made up and to a high degree, just for fun. At the same time, care has been taken to get all the details right; the listeners is offered a plethora of quirky themes that perhaps only appear once, and none of the 18 songs exceed 3 minutes. It pays dividends to stay focused when listening – or you will miss that passing jazz chord.
