Resilient musik: ett perspektiv på hållbart musicerande
Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Department of Music Education.
2013 (Swedish)Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

Resilience signifies the ability to withstand and/or recover from disturbance. This work explores the possibility of adapting the concept of resilience, as it is understood within the field of ecology, for use in a musical context and as a means to achieve artistic sustainability. It tracks one individual creative process, the writing and performing of songs in the singer- songwriter genre, into which theories of resilience were fused, and examines the results to find out how resilience thinking can strengthen and enrich musical practices.
