2015 (Swedish)Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This study examines the self-perceived effect on the own artistic development that Eurhythmics education had on some of the students who took those courses at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm between the years of 2009-2014. It does so by applying the research procedures of grounded theory to data gathered from interviews in focus groups, where topics concerning artistry within Eurhythmics, teacher roles, the classroom environment and other aspects were discussed. In examining the data, this study formulates a grounded theory about how the research subjects were spurred in their artistic development by doing Eurhythmics, and why the method is capable of having this effect on its pratcitioners.
