This essay is a reflection on my own practice and a snapshot of my working desk. It is a crawling into thoughts and processes in the very first phase of imagining a new work, through topographic considerations and philosophical interpretations. I first take a look back at some previous works, focusing on writing, mapping, and listening as compositional tools, as well as spatialisation and the use of voice. Then I use literature, not as a narrative content, but as a reservoir for sounds and writing strategies which may be used as practical tools for composition.
