After the release of my debut album, "Nomad's Query", I started to experience difficulties with improvisation.  This was most notable whilst playing my original compositions, but the issues carried over to playing music by others as well, to some extent. 

Before the main part of the essay I first present the band members as well as my compositions. This is to give a background before proceeding to the major part of the work. 

As the essay enters its main phase I present all these improvisational issues I had experienced and then proceed with an attempt to find ways to solve them. I discuss various methods I applied, ranging from instrumental and mental practise to musical concepts and ways of thinking that might help me resolve my problem. 

Once the possible solutions have been listed I go over the results of these. First in a general manner, how it has made me a better musician in a broad sense and what has changed, stayed the same or reverted to something I previously did. 

In the next chapter I talk about the concert connected to this work. I mention musical as well as mental events that took place during this performance and how my previous progress affected it.

The essay ends with some final thoughts about the work, the concert and the future.
