Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This study examines how high-school bass teachers utilize formative feedback in individual music lessons. Through qualitative observations of four teachers during two lessons each, the research analyzes how formative feedback is delivered and how it relates to the conceptsof outcome, process, and regulation. The results show that the teachers utilized various forward-looking strategies in their feedback. The feedback was largely adapted to the individual needs and interaction levels of the students during the lessons. The findings also highlight how formative feedback can help create a supportive learning environment that promotes student motivation and learning. The study provides insights into the practical implementations of formative feedback and contributes to a deeper understanding of its role in music education.
