Abstract [en]
This thesis explores vibrato in violin playing through an analysis of historical performance practices, pedagogical texts and different violinists. In addition to theoretical research, the study introduces various exercises that focus on different factors of developing vibrato. This study examines whether a player can utilize the knowledge of historical and modern practices into her own practice and development.
